We’re excited to have 13 AP Online training modules currently available for you to use! AP Online is designed to walk parish leaders and teams through videos and exercises, giving them the tools they need to build an amazing parish. AP Online is made available to you free of charge thanks to the generosity of our donors who believe your parish can and should be amazing.
To start using AP Online, create your free login now or after checking out the first module (no login is needed for Module 1). The login helps you track your progress, and it lets us know how we can better help your parish. We’re here to help you along the way! The login process is just a handful of questions and takes less than one minute.
Each module takes 45-60 minutes and is accompanied by a study guide to help you and your team navigate through the trainings and exercises. To get started, download and print the study guide for Module 1 and start watching the video below.
Module 2: Teamwork Part I
In Module 2, your team will learn how to form a healthy parish leadership team. You’ll hear from Patrick Lencioni and learn the Five Dysfunctions of a Team, a model that has shaped and improved some of the nation’s healthiest organizations including Southwest Airlines and Chick-Fil-A.
Module 3: Teamwork Part II
In this module, team members will build trust through openness and vulnerability. You’ll also learn about different working styles and how they impact the dynamics of your team.

Module 6: Prayer
Prayer is the foundation of any Christ-centered ministry. Listen to Sr. Regina Marie Gorman, O.C.D. talk about the important role prayer has in the Christian life and in the success of your parish. You’ll also receive practical examples of how to grow in personal prayer and prayer as a team.
Module 7: Evangelization
Evangelization is a critical component to any thriving parish community. In this module, you’ll receive inspiring and practical instruction from Curtis Martin and Chris Stefanick on how to live a life of evangelization.
Module 8: Discipleship
Discipleship efforts in a parish can oftentimes become program focused instead of relationship focused. In Module 8, Jeff Cavins and Chris Stefanick teach parish leaders how to focus their discipleship efforts on developing a deeper relationship with Christ and one another.
Module 9: Vision Part I
When parish leaders can answer four basic questions, they are better able to lead with a clear vision and strategy. In Module 9, you’ll learn how to evaluate the unique opportunities your parish has to grow and succeed in bringing souls to Christ.
Module 10: Vision Part II
In Module 10, you’ll learn how to work as a team to identify what the single most important goal is at your parish right now. You’ll also learn how to determine what tasks individual team members should be responsible for in order to reach the goal. Parishes that have a clear thematic goal or “rallying cry” are able to stay more focused and bear more fruit with their efforts.
Module 11: Transition Management
With all the inevitable changes in parish life, many parish leaders struggle to navigate their team through transitions. Module 11 provides a simple model on leading through change and gives practical advice on how to effectively manage transitions.
Module 12: Meetings
As Pat Lencioni says, “Bad meetings contribute to poor decisions which lead to mediocre organizations at best.” This applies to parishes too. We’ve all experienced bad meetings, but what does a good meeting look like? In Module 12, Pat teaches a simple and effective model for your parish leadership team meetings.
Module 13: Exhortation
In Module 13, Fr. Michael White gives an inspiring closing exhortation describing the unique authority and influence pastors and lay leaders have on our parishes during a “time such as this.”
